This policy describes how Row Zero Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “Company”) collects, aggregates, stores, safeguards and uses the data and information (including non-public personal information, or “NPI”) when you use our website, https://rowzero.io (the “Site”), as well as information collected by us through other means, including by email, over the phone, or in offline communications. This policy applies to the Site, mobile and web applications, and related online and offline offerings (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Services”). We take your privacy and the security of your information seriously.

Information You Provide to UsDepending on how you interact with our Services, you may provide the following information:
- Account information. Your name and email address when you create an account.
- Payment information. Row Zero uses a third-party application to process your payments. This application collects information from you to process a payment on behalf of Row Zero, including your name, email address, billing address, and payment card information. Row Zero does not receive or store your payment information, but it may receive and store information associated with your payment information (e.g. the status of your subscription).
- Contact information. We collect personal information from you such as name and email address when you request information about the Services, book a meeting, or otherwise communicate with us.
- Candidate information. If you apply for a job at Row Zero, we will collect and process the information you provide to us.
- Content. We retain data on your behalf, such as workbooks that you store in Row Zero using your account.
- Customer service information. If you call or otherwise interact with Row Zero's sales, customer success or support teams, we collect the information you provide. In addition, we may record telephone calls or video conferences between you and our representatives for training or quality assurance purposes.
Information We Automatically CollectOur Site uses cookies and other technologies to function effectively. These technologies record information about your use of our Site, including:
- Location and device data. When you use our Site, we collect your internet protocol (IP) address.
- Cookies. Row Zero uses only strictly necessary, first party cookies.
- Usage data. We collect and analyze data and other information relating to the access, use, and performance of the Site (“Usage Data”). Examples of Usage Data include technical logs, metadata, telemetry data, and usage information about Content, such as how many times it is accessed.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION WE COLLECTRow Zero uses your information for the following business purposes:
- Providing Services. Creating an account and identifying you as a user in our system, managing your account information, processing subscription payments, and other activities necessary to deliver our SaaS product.
- Customer support and communication. Responding to your inquiries, requests, or comments. Troubleshooting issues, delivering training, sharing information about improvements to our product, and providing other information about our Services.
- Monitoring and improving our Services. Monitoring Usage Data in order to improve our product.
- Fraud and incident protection. Detecting security threats and protecting against malicious, fraudulent, or illegal activity.
- Marketing and sales. Contacting current and prospective customers about the products we think you may be interested in, managing client relationships, and other sales activities.
- Training and quality assurance. Customer communication may be recorded or stored for the purposes of training and improving our support and sales operations.
- Recruiting and hiring. If you apply for a job at Row Zero, we use the personal information you provide to communicate with you and evaluate your candidacy for employment.
- Complying with legal obligations. Enforcing our terms of service, other legal rights, or as may be required by applicable laws and regulations or requested in any judicial process or by any governmental agency.
SHARING OF INFORMATION WE COLLECTRow Zero is not in the business of selling your information. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your personal data with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below:
- Third party service providers. Row Zero, like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies to perform certain business-related functions. Examples include mailing information, maintaining databases, and processing payments. When we employ another entity to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function.
- Business transfers. As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, personal data may be part of the transferred assets.

We are not responsible for the practices of such sites, nor does any such link imply that Row Zero endorses or has reviewed the third-party site subject to such link. CHILDREN AND MINORSRow Zero does not knowingly collect personal data from minors under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any personal data through the Site. If you have reason to believe that a minor under the age of 18 has provided personal data to Row Zero through the Site, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
DATA SECURITYWe have taken certain physical, administrative, and technical steps to safeguard the information we collect. While we make reasonable efforts to help ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee our security measures. DATA RETENTIONWe store the information we collect about you for as long as is necessary for the purpose(s) for which we originally collected it. Specific retention periods depend on the nature of the information and why it was collected, the nature and length of our relationship with you, possible re-enrollment with our Services, and any legal requirements. When no longer needed, personal data is deleted or anonymized.
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time as noted in “Your controls and choices”, below. That will require you to delete your account with us, as we need your personal information to maintain your account.
YOUR CONTROLS AND CHOICESWe provide you with certain controls and choices regarding the use of your personal information, which may include:
- Opting out of marketing communication. You can opt out of marketing emails from us at any time, using the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of the email.
- Updating your information. To keep your personal data accurate, current, and complete, please contact us as specified below. We will take reasonable steps to update or correct personal information in our possession.
- Deleting your information. To permanently remove all of your information from our systems, you must delete your account. You can submit a deletion request anytime at rowzero.io/account.
- Managing cookie preferences. Row Zero uses only strictly necessary, first-party cookies. Because these cookies are essential for the operation of the website, you cannot opt out of them. However, you can configure your browser to block or delete cookies if you wish. Please note that doing so may affect the functionality of the website. When using our website, you may be directed to other websites for such activities as authentication, to make payment, for job applications, and to view content hosted on those sites such as an embedded video or news article. These websites may use their own cookies. We do not have control over the placement of cookies by other websites you visit, even if you are directed to them from our website.
- Other actions. In addition, depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request access to your personal information, and restrict or object to the processing of your personal information. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us as specified below.
Do not track. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting that allows you to signal to websites that you do not want your online activities to be tracked. At this time, there is no industry standard for how websites and online services should respond to these signals. Accordingly, Row Zero does not currently respond to DNT signals. We continue to review developments around browser-based signals and may update our practices if a standard emerges.
INFORMATION FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTSThis section applies to the personal information we may collect from California residents that use the Site and our compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”).
The CCPA provides California residents that use the Site, subject to limitations, the right to request more details about the types or specific pieces of personal information we collect (as described in the “Information We Collect” section), to delete their personal information, to opt out of any “sales” that may be occurring, and to not be discriminated against for making requests protected by the CCPA.
California residents that use the Site may make a request pursuant to their rights under the CCPA by contacting us at
support@rowzero.io. Please mark your inquiry “CCPA Request”. We will verify your request using the information you have provided to us in use of the Site, including email address. Government-issued identification may be required in order to process your request. California residents that use the Site can also designate an authorized agent to exercise these rights on their behalf.
INFORMATION FOR EEA, UK, AND SWITZERLAND USERSRow Zero Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “Company”) is the data controller for the user information you provide to us. When providing our services to business customers, we may process personal data on their behalf. In those cases, our processing is governed by the contract and Data Processing Agreement with that customer.
Data Transfers. If you live outside of the United States, you understand and agree that we may transfer your information to the United States. Row Zero uses a variety of safeguards, including using European Commission-approved or UK Government-approved Standard Contractual Clauses, by relying on a European Commission, a UK Government, or Swiss Government adequacy decision, by relying on Binding Corporate Rules, or other measures in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Legal Basis for ProcessingWhen we process your personal information, we will only do so when we have a valid “legal basis”, including:
- Consent. We have your consent to do so. Where we rely on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. Examples: marketing communication.
- Contract. We need to use your personal information to perform our responsibilities under our contract with you. Examples: account creation and authentication, payment processing, Site security and performance, customer training, customer service and support, and delivering Services.
- Legitimate interests. We have a legitimate business interest in processing your personal information. We only rely on this legal basis when our legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights and interests. Examples: product research and development, offering new products that we think would be of interest to you.

We will respond to these requests within a reasonable timeframe – no longer than one month. Row Zero may request additional information from you to verify your identity before we disclose any personal or account information. Please note that some deletion requests will also require you to terminate Services, as we need your personal information to maintain your account.
